On October 15, 2025, searches were conducted in the homes of members of the banned extremist group "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami" in the Talas region.
According to the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, these searches were initiated as part of a criminal case related to the organization of an extremist group, which falls under part 2 of Article 314 of the country's Criminal Code.
As a result of the searches, which affected nine residences of members of the "Hizb ut-Tahrir" group (seven of whom had previously been convicted under similar articles), religious books, firearms, an air rifle, as well as electronic devices such as CDs, flash drives, tablets, and mobile phones were seized.
All collected evidence will be subjected to examinations for further investigation, as reported by the GKNB.
