The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a document declaring the snow leopard (or ibex) as the national symbol of the Kyrgyz Republic. This act, signed by the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, also includes the creation of an official logo for the snow leopard and regulations for its use.
The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic has been tasked with developing measures aimed at protecting the snow leopard population and its natural habitat.
All state institutions, local government bodies, as well as organizations and institutions, regardless of their organizational and legal form, are required to comply with this resolution.
This document comes into effect upon its official publication.
