This decision is part of the implementation of the presidential decree "On the Recognition of the Snow Leopard as the National Symbol of the Kyrgyz Republic" dated December 29, 2023, No. 369, aimed at protecting, preserving, and promoting symbols that reflect the natural and cultural heritage of the country.
The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision has been tasked with developing an action plan aimed at conserving the snow leopard population and its natural habitat.
All government bodies, local self-governments, as well as institutions and organizations regardless of their ownership form are required to comply with this resolution.
This document comes into effect upon its official publication.
