According to information published on social media, the pelican was handed over by inspectors from the Chui regional department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision. The bird was found in the Chui region in an extremely emaciated state and could barely stand on its feet.
Center staff noted that initially, the pelican could not eat, but over time, it began to eat in small, fragmented portions.
On October 21, the rehabilitation center reported that the pelican is showing interest in food and is even trying to eat on its own.
“This is a positive sign and a significant step towards recovery,” emphasize the center's specialists.
