The Ministry of Nature reported on the results of raids during which citizens engaged in illegal hunting were identified in the Chuy, Jalal-Abad, and Osh regions. This was announced by the press service of the agency.
On October 18, in the Kok-Art Gorge, inspectors from the Jalal-Abad regional office of the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service detained I.B., a resident of the village of Turk-Abad in the Barpy rural district, who was hunting without a permit. He was fined 12,500 soms under Article 263 of the Code of Offenses (Violation of Hunting Rules).
During a raid conducted by inspectors from the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service for Bishkek and the Alamudun district using new equipment, a case of illegal hunting was also recorded. The offender was fined 12,500 soms in accordance with Article 263 of the Code of Offenses.
The joint efforts of the staff from the Osh regional office for the protection of natural areas and biodiversity, representatives of the Bars-2 group from NABU, and local authorities led to the identification of hunting violators in the Chechme-Sai and Chili-Sai areas of the Nookat district. These citizens were fined amounts ranging from 12,500 to 25,000 soms according to Article 263 of the Code of Offenses. Explanatory talks were also held with some hunters.
On October 18, in the Kyzyl-Suu areas of the Kara-Suu district, employees of the Department of Protected Natural Areas and Biodiversity of the Osh regional office and representatives of the Bars-2 group from NABU detained a citizen who violated hunting rules. His fine amounted to 12,500 soms according to Article 263 of the Code of Offenses. Recommendations for wildlife protection were also given to the hunters.
