In Kazakhstan, UAV wreckage found, airspace control strengthened

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan has confirmed the incident involving a drone in the West Kazakhstan region.



Near the village of Kyzyltal, local residents came across the wreckage of the UAV. According to information from the Ministry of Defense, an explosion of the drone occurred in the Burlynsky district, the origin of which is currently unknown, local media report.

The wreckage was found in a remote area, away from populated places. There are no casualties, and no damage has been reported.

The Ministry of Defense noted that checks are being conducted with the involvement of competent authorities to clarify the details of the incident and determine the origin of the object. Additionally, extra measures have been implemented to enhance control over the airspace and prevent illegal crossings of the state border by aerial vehicles.

“Negotiations are underway with foreign partners who may own these devices,” the ministry added.
