GUBIN Valery Dmitrievich

Architect. Born in 1952 in the city of Pruzhany, Brest region of the Belarusian SSR.
In 1974, he graduated from the architectural and construction faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
After completing his studies, he worked at the Kyrgyz Project Workshop of the Kazgiprotorg Institute until 1980.
Since 1980, he has been working as the chief project architect at the Kyrgyzpromproject Institute.
In 1978, he was awarded a diploma from the VDNH of the USSR, receiving the honorary title of "Laureate of the All-Union Review of Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth."
In 1983, at the creative review of young architects of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, he was awarded a certificate for his work in the field of industrial architecture.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1980.
V.D. Gubin spent several years designing buildings and structures for trade and public catering enterprises. His formation and mastery of architectural design as a comprehensively meaningful process, intertwining technical, aesthetic, and ideological tasks, took place at Kazgiprotorg. Several projects from this period were realized, including food preparation canteens in the city of Cholpon-Ata and the town of Orlovka, and a central restaurant in the city of Naryn.
With his entry into industrial architecture, he worked with a group of colleagues on the creation of a hosiery factory in the city of Frunze and the expansion of the Frunze knitting production association named after the 60th anniversary of the USSR. These projects have already been implemented, but many of his developments, such as the publishing house "Omsk Truth," a department store in the city of Frunze, and others, are still awaiting realization. Most of the works by architect V.D. Gubin are characterized by the search for rational functional solutions and expressive plastic characteristics in the image of buildings.
