Kudelya Alexander Ivanovich

Architect. Member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1962. Laureate of the State Prize of the Kirghiz SSR named after Toktogul.
Born in 1938 in the Semipalatinsk region of the Kazakh SSR.
From 1959 to 1962, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army.
In 1966, he graduated from the architectural faculty of the Novosibirsk Engineering and Construction Institute named after V. V. Kuibyshev, specializing in the architecture of residential and public buildings.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1970.
A. I. Kudelya began his creative activity at the Siberian zonal scientific research institute of standard and experimental design. He worked on the development of standard projects for a number of public buildings for the Far North. The most significant work of this period was the detailed planning project for the left bank of the city of Novosibirsk, which addressed the tasks of connecting the city center to the water area of the Ob River, integrating both banks into a single architectural ensemble.
In 1970, A. Kudelya moved to Kyrgyzstan, working at the State Design Institute "Kyrgyzgiprostroy," where he currently heads the architectural and construction workshop while also serving as the chief architect of projects. His work at this institute began with projects for the development of individual parts of the city of Frunze. He participated in the development of microdistricts V-1, 6, and 6a, and designed microdistrict 9a on Soviet Street, among others.
In 1972, A. Kudelya transitioned from the urban planning workshop to the volumetric design workshop, where he worked on the development project for the district center of Toktogul in the flood zone of the Toktogul Hydroelectric Power Station. As the chief architect of this project (1972—1980), he led the design of individual objects in this settlement, managed the development of the central part, and conducted author supervision.
A. Kudelya is a direct participant in the development of the "Manas" airport complex and its terminal. This construction began in 1976 and continues to this day. The most interesting object is the terminal of the "Manas" airport. The building has a complex functional and technological structure, where, alongside spacious arrival and departure halls for passengers, there exists a production area that is invisible to visitors but equally significant. The building's form is achieved with modest means, yet it is quite expressive and plastic. From 1981 to 1984, A. Kudelya participated in the creation of the project and the construction of the branch of the Central Museum of V.I. Lenin.
He has been awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Soviet of the Kirghiz SSR (1977), a bronze medal from the VDNH of the USSR (1978), a Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Soviet of the Kirghiz SSR (1981), the "Distinguished Border Troops II Class" badge, a Certificate of Honor from the Issyk-Kul Regional Council of People's Deputies (1982), and the "Labor Veteran" medal (1986).
