Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Nichke-Sai, Uzgen District, Osh Region.
Graduated from Osh State Pedagogical Institute (1962), postgraduate studies at Kyrgyz State University (1965).
Worked as a teacher, deputy director of CUL1, lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of department, dean, vice-rector, secretary of the party committee of Osh State Pedagogical Institute, rector of Osh Technical University, and since 1998 - rector of Osh State University.
Specialist in the field of inorganic chemistry. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993), Member of the International Academy (1995). Awarded medals of the USSR.
Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic (1995). Laureate of the International Prize "Rukhaniyat" (2001).
Published more than 250 scientific works, including 2 monographs, 8 textbooks and educational-methodical manuals, 3 inventions.
Under his supervision, 15 candidate dissertations have been defended.
