Born in the village of Kochkorka, Naryn region. Graduated from the Kyrgyz State Pedagogical Institute (1952), postgraduate studies at the Kyrgyz Research Institute of Pedagogy (1965).
Worked as Vice-Rector of KJPI, Head of Department, Vice-Rector of KSU, Head of the Department of PIRYAL, and since 1992 - Chief Researcher at KIO. Specialist in the theory and history of pedagogy. Corresponding Member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR (1968).
Awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War, the Badge of Honor, medals of the USSR, and a Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR (1973). Honored Teacher of the Kyrgyz SSR (1981). Published over 130 scientific works, including 5 monographs. Under his supervision, 15 candidate dissertations have been defended.
