Shpota Lev Alekseevich (1922),

Russian. Born in the village of Balikchy, South Kazakhstan region.
Graduated from Kirgosped Institute (1950), and completed postgraduate studies there (1954).
Worked as a school teacher, lecturer, senior lecturer, head of the department, professor at KGU, senior researcher at the Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, senior researcher, and since 1996 - leading researcher at the Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in the field of plant physiology and ecology.
Awarded with orders of the Great Patriotic War (2), the Badge of Honor, and medals of the USSR (14), as well as a Certificate of Honor from the Kyrgyz Republic.
Published over 150 scientific works, including 3 monographs, 5 textbooks, and 22 rational proposals.
Under his supervision, 5 candidate dissertations have been defended.
