Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Jai-Bolent, Jangi-Jol District, Osh Region.
Graduated from KGU (1968), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1971).
Worked as a junior researcher, head of the laboratory of plant resource ecology, deputy director for science, leading researcher of the laboratory of ecology and biogeochemistry at the Biological and Soil Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and since 2000 - director
of the Institute of Forestry and Nut Cultivation. Specialist in the field of ecological physiology of plants.
Published more than 40 scientific works, including 2 monographs.
Under his supervision, 1 candidate dissertation has been defended.
