Russian. Born in the city of Karshi, Uzbek SSR.
Graduated from the Higher Naval School of Weapon Engineers (1957).
Worked as the head of the Research Center of the Navy of the USSR, Deputy Chairman of the Applied (Defense) Problems Section at the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, head of the laboratory of physical and technical research at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, director of the Research Institute of USTA, head of the department, and since 2000 - Dean of KGUSTA. Specialist in the field of mechanics of deformable solids, mechanics of granular media, and their applications.
Academician of the International Academy of Energy named after A. Einstein (1996).
Awarded medals of the USSR.
Published more than 80 scientific works, including 5 monographs, 2 textbooks, and 57 inventions.
Under his supervision, 5 doctoral and 19 candidate dissertations have been defended.
