
Mikhail Nikolaevich Bolshakov (1907-1992), Doctor of Technical Sciences (1952), Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR (1954).
Russian. Born in Kaluga, Russian Federation. Graduated from Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (1931).
Worked as the head of the design group for the Big Chui Canal (BCC), director of the Institute of Energy and Water Management of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, head of the department at VNIIG (All-Union Research Institute) for comprehensive automation of reclamation systems, senior researcher. Specialist in the field of hydrology and hydraulic engineering.
Awarded the Orders of the Patriotic War I and II degrees, the Order of the Red Star, and medals of the USSR. Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz SSR. Published more than 60 scientific works, including 3 monographs.
