Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz SSR, Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR in the field of Science and Technology, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR in the field of Science and Technology.

Born in 1923. Graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute. Specialist in the field of mechanical engineering and improvement of mining machines.

He served as Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, Scientific Supervisor of the Department of Mechanics and Mining Engineering at the Institute of Automation of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, Chairman of two problem and two specialized councils for the certification of scientific personnel.

His area of scientific activity is the extraction and processing of mineral resources. Most of his developments were implemented in the creation of long-stroke drilling machines and units, drilling automats and robots with power impulse systems, drilling earth-cutting machines, and means of comprehensive mechanization and automation of mining and construction works. He made a significant contribution to the development of a new scientific direction in domestic mining engineering and geology related to the creation of drilling automats in extreme environments, addressing the problem of mechanizing heavy labor-intensive work in coal mines, especially concerning the need to create special machines for tunneling horizontal and inclined workings. A significant aspect of his work was the hypothesis formulated in his writings about the possibility of assessing the properties of the processed medium based on the reaction of the drilling automat to these properties, which allowed for the justification of a fundamentally new class of drilling automats-informers.

Recognition of his work included awards of honorary badges “Miner's Glory” of three degrees, the Orders of Lenin and Friendship of Peoples, and a Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Under his guidance, 12 doctoral and more than 100 candidate dissertations were completed and defended.

He published over 1000 scientific works and is the author of more than 160 inventions.

Main inventions:

1. Long-stroke drilling mechanism. Patent No. 117251, 1957.
2. Automatic feed force regulator for drilling machines. Patent No. 512301, 1976.
3. Mechanical press. Patent No. 994303, 1982.
4. Stone-cutting machine. Patent No. 1670134, 1991.
5. Lever mechanism. Patent of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 10, 1995.
