Orozobakov Toktosun Orozobakovich

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR in the field of Science and Technology (1984), Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of Science and Technology (2004).

Born in 1937. In 1958, he graduated from the Przhevalsky State Pedagogical Institute.

Currently, he works as an advisor to the directorate of the Institute of Physical and Technical Problems and Materials Science of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Specialist in the field of radiophysics. His scientific work is dedicated to the study of the laws of propagation of ultra- and electromagnetic waves. A television passive repeater, developed based on his inventions, has been implemented on more than 30 routes of radio relay lines for television broadcasting in the Kyrgyz Republic. Zonal antenna systems on the routes Bishkek — Orbita, Cholpon-Ata — Orgochor, Vostochnaya — Kochkorka, Tash-Komur — Karavan.

A phase-correcting reflector on the route West (Kyrgyzstan) — Sunkar (Kazakhstan) enhances the field strength on this route for the transmission of first channel television to the settlements of Aksuyek, Kashtau, Chyganak, and others.

Under his supervision, 5 candidate and 2 doctoral dissertations have been defended.

He has published more than 120 scientific works, including 3 monographs, and is the author of 6 inventions.
