Tekenev Zhapар Tekenevich
Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born in 1933. Graduated from Kyrgyz State University with a degree in "Physics," and completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR. In 1962, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, and in 1991, he defended his doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences.
Currently, Academician Z. Tekenev is the Chairman of the Southern Branch of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. Since 2000, he has been a full member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and a member of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He has published over 130 works and 3 monographs.
Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic, awarded with Honorary Certificates of the Kyrgyz Republic, the commemorative medal "Manas-1000," and the international award "Golden Fortune - 2003."
In 2006, he was awarded the title of laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology, and in 2007, he was awarded the "Dank" medal.
