Alybakov Askarbek Alybakovich

Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology.

Born in 1933. Graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Kyrgyz State University.

He was a prominent scientist under whose leadership research in the field of crystal physics aimed at obtaining materials with specified properties began and developed widely in Kyrgyzstan. In the team he led, methods for growing crystals from melts were developed, allowing for the production of crystals with low dislocation density, accelerating growth processes and increasing the level of doping.

He studied about 30 new impurity-radiation centers in ionic crystals, establishing their nature and local symmetry. The result of the conducted research was the development of a new active medium for lasers and the production of new materials for passive laser shutters and thermoluminescent dosimetry of ionizing radiation, thermo-exoelectronic emitters, and scintillation detectors of nuclear particles.

Awarded medals and Certificates of Honor from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Under his guidance, 19 candidate dissertations were defended.

Approximately 200 scientific works published, author of more than 20 inventions.
