Makowski Eduard Eduardovich
Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Inventor of the Kyrgyz SSR, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR in the field of science and technology.
Born in 1930. In 1954, he graduated from the Hydroenergy Faculty of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization.
He was the Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chairman of the Department of Physical and Technical, Mathematical, and Mining-Geological Sciences. He is known as a specialist in the development of theories and methods for creating automatic control systems for water distribution processes in water management. He proposed and implemented pneumatic-hydraulic equipment in the subsystems of "operational control" and "dispatcher advisor" of the At-Bashinsky Main Canal. An automatic flood prevention system has been implemented at more than 70 water intake facilities in the republic and beyond.
He has been awarded Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR, a jubilee medal "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin," and the medal "For Labor Valor." By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR, for his achievements in the development of the national economy, he was awarded a gold medal and two silver medals from the VDNH of the USSR.
He has published more than 160 scientific works, including 7 monographs, and is the author of 45 inventions.
