Ukrainian. Born in the city of Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR. Graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (1955), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Metal Ceramics and Special Alloys of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (1958). Worked as a research scientist at the Institute of Metal Ceramics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, head of the laboratory, head of the department at the Podolsk Research Institute, professor at the M.I. Lomonosov Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology, deputy director of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, chief research scientist at the Institute of New Chemical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Specialist in metallurgy and materials science.
Published over 350 scientific works, including 9 monographs and 50 author certificates. Under his supervision, 4 doctoral and 25 candidate dissertations have been defended.
