In Kyrgyzstan, a prolonged drought is observed, which negatively affects water resources and agriculture. Ecologists warn that this phenomenon is exacerbated by global warming. The Kyrgyz Hydrometeorological Service under the Ministry of Emergency Situations shared a weather forecast for December. According to Aizada Abdyvalieva, head of the meteorological forecasting department, air temperature and precipitation levels are expected to be normal.

In the Chui Valley, weather conditions are expected to be within the climatic norm. "In December, air temperature will fluctuate from +2…+3°C to +8…+13°C, with possible frosts of -4…-9°C on certain days. Night temperatures may reach -13…-18°C, and in the northern part of the valley, -16…-21°C. The total amount of precipitation is forecasted to be around 33–38 mm, with about 17–30 mm in the foothills," she added.
As for the capital, the forecast for late November and early December is as follows:
- Night: 0…-2 °C, Day: +14…+16 °C.
- Night: -1…-3 °C, Day: +12…+14 °C.
- Night: 1…-3 °C, Day: +10…+12 °C.
- Night: -1…-3 °C, Day: +10…+12 °C.
- Night: -1…-3 °C, Day: +11…+13 °C.
- Night: 0…-2 °C, Day: +12…+14 °C.

November in Kyrgyzstan was marked by relatively warm weather, which, according to ecologists and climatologists, is related to global warming. This phenomenon affects not only Central Asia but also other regions of the world, including Africa and Europe. An example of this is the decision to relocate the capital of Iran due to the depletion of water resources, as well as the drying up of reservoirs in Turkmenistan.
The dean of the Faculty of Ecology and Management at BGU, candidate of geographical sciences Elegiya Bokoeva, emphasizes that the lack of precipitation and drought confirm climate changes. She insists on the need for measures to stabilize it.

"Global climate change negatively impacts mountainous areas, which are sensitive ecosystems. In recent years, there has been a prolonged drought and a reduction in glacier areas. Since agriculture is the backbone of our country's economy, it is important to adapt irrigation and sowing practices to climate changes. Unfortunately, significant changes in the hydrological regime lead to a decrease in agricultural productivity," she noted.
The ecologist also proposed additional steps to support climate stability: "It is necessary to increase forest areas and green spaces. Moreover, the use of transport and firewood for heating in populated areas leads to atmospheric pollution with greenhouse gases. It is important to pay attention to the water cycle and the rational use of water resources, including drip irrigation and the use of renewable energy sources. The issue of clean water also remains extremely relevant," added Bokoeva.
