He reminded that the committee had discussed this issue the day before.
“We carefully examined both the text and the music of the proposed anthems. Unfortunately, none of the projects meet our expectations. We decided to return them for revision. Our goal is not only to change the anthem but also to ensure that it is familiar to every Kyrgyzstani, from the age of 7 to 70. All the proposed options sound like marches, and not everyone will be able to perform them. The anthem should be as free as our land. We must abandon the marching tradition that came from the Soviet era. It should resonate at all levels, including weddings,” noted Turgunbek uulu.
The Speaker also added that the competition for a new anthem will continue, and everyone interested will be able to participate.
