The deputy reminded about the significant bill
At a parliamentary meeting, deputy Janar Akayev called on his colleagues to join the commission dealing with the rehabilitation of individuals who were repressed from 1918 to 1953.
He noted that the work of the commission has already begun, but it is necessary to include new deputies in its composition.
It is worth mentioning that in November 2025, the bill on the repressed was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh, but subsequently, the president sent it back for revision.
As one of the authors of the initiative, Janar Akayev, explained, the purpose of the law is to rehabilitate citizens who suffered due to their political and religious beliefs, as well as for social, national, and other reasons during the specified period.
