In 2026, the CSTO will continue to develop the combat capabilities of its Collective Forces by implementing the latest technologies in the fields of intelligence, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems. The Secretary General of the CSTO, Taalatbek Masadykov, shared plans for combat training in an interview with the publication "Allies. CSTO".
The focus will be on maneuvers conducted on the western borders of the Organization.
"In October of this year, a command-staff exercise involving the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces titled "Unbreakable Brotherhood – 2026" will take place on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. We will also coordinate actions to prevent biological threats. In Belarus, a special CSTO exercise "Barrier-2026" aimed at eliminating biological threats in the interests of collective peacekeeping forces will again be held in October," noted the Secretary General.
Additionally, Masadykov added that traditional joint exercises such as "Interaction," "Search," "Echelon," and "Frontier" will also take place.
