He noted that the high mortality rate from oncological diseases is due to a lack of modern approaches and development in this area.
Dosmambetov posed a rhetorical question: "Why do we have such alarming figures in oncology?" He pointed out that the absence of progress and an external perspective on the situation are the main reasons. "Our specialists are not developing, and this leads to the residents of the country being forced to seek treatment abroad, even selling their homes, despite significant investments in the industry," he added.
Furthermore, the minister spoke about a recent meeting with Bukuev, during which he inquired about the existing problems at the center. In response, the director stated that "there are no problems," which, according to Dosmambetov, indicates either his satisfaction with the current situation or his unwillingness to see and address the issues.
“This is indifference to the system,” the minister emphasized, adding that without acknowledging the existing difficulties and being ready for change, it is impossible to achieve improvements in the field of oncology care in the country.
