Kyrgyz and Indian doctors have begun working in the field of telemedicine
As part of a new partnership, a platform has been created that allows for medical consultations across various specialties and organizes consiliums for complex clinical cases. This collaboration is aimed at sharing experiences in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases using telemedicine technologies.

The Director of the "Clinical Hospital," Jumagul Omorova, noted that last year a memorandum was signed with the Indian organization "Global Medical Assistance," which unites networks of medical institutions across the country. "This document provides for not only medical consultations but also the professional development of our specialists, the exchange of experiences, especially in transplantation, as well as the conduct of teleconferences on new methods of diagnosis and treatment used in global practice," she added.

Kyrgyz doctors have already visited three high-tech hospitals in India, where specialists from various fields work, including surgeons specializing in heart transplants. The Indian side expressed interest in collaboration and is ready to support their Kyrgyz colleagues and share knowledge.

Jumagul Omorova emphasized that telemedicine opens new horizons for their institution. "No country can solve healthcare challenges independently. The development of the national healthcare system is only possible through international cooperation. Doctors from different countries share a common goal — saving lives and preventing diseases. The transfer of telecommunications equipment is the first step towards strengthening relations between our countries and improving the quality of medical services," she stressed.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the President Roza Mamyrbaeva added that interest in telemedicine is growing worldwide. "Digital health is becoming an important direction for countries striving to modernize healthcare, and Kyrgyzstan is also actively working on implementing information technologies in this area," she said, thanking her Indian colleagues for the opportunity to collaborate.

Special appreciation was expressed to Indian therapist Prem Kumar, who has been working at the "Clinical Hospital" for nearly 18 years and has played a significant role in the implementation of telemedicine.

According to him, Indian doctors receive high-quality education, as evidenced by the fact that over 30,000 qualified doctors graduate in the country each year. More than 10% of doctors in the USA were trained in Indian universities, and cooperation between the medical professionals of the two countries will benefit patients.

India is known as the Mecca of medical tourism, attracting patients from around the world, especially from the USA, UK, and other countries, due to the high quality of medical services at affordable prices.

However, surgeon Azat Togochuev noted that Kyrgyz specialists are not focused on developing medical tourism. "We hope that our collaboration will lead to concrete steps that will allow us to adopt the experience of our Indian colleagues in transplantation and perform organ transplant surgeries in Kyrgyzstan," he added.

Deputy Director for Medical Affairs Gulshan Dolonbaeva noted that their hospital has created all the conditions for liver transplant surgeries, but experience is needed. "Your experience will help us start performing such surgeries, as this issue is relevant for Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Health has already discussed this matter," she emphasized, addressing her Indian colleagues.

The transfer of equipment concluded with a demonstration of telemedicine capabilities, during which Kyrgyz doctors were able to establish communication with their Indian colleagues for further collaboration for the benefit of people's health.
