First Deputy Minister of Defense Talaybek Sharshiev reported that in 2024, revenues amounted to 714 million soms, and in 2025, approximately 750 million soms are expected.
Dastan Bekeshev noted that even without increasing the fees, the amounts are quite substantial.
He expressed doubt about the feasibility of an increase: "Why do this? It will hit low-income families, while the wealthy can pay any amount. To avoid worsening the situation, I propose to pass the law in the first reading and postpone its implementation for at least a year in the second reading. Let the presidential elections happen first. People are already struggling due to the sharp rise in prices. Although statistics show GDP growth, no one mentions how much food prices have increased. Even those who live relatively well are starting to pay attention to their food expenses. This law will only exacerbate the financial burden on citizens. 750 million soms for this year is enough for now," the deputy noted.
