EU Special Envoy for Sanctions to Arrive in Kyrgyzstan in February

On February 3, a video conference took place where the First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev met with David O'Sullivan, the EU Special Envoy for Sanctions. The government press service reported on this event.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of continuing a constructive dialogue on sanctions and financial-economic interaction. An agreement was also reached on regular consultations aimed at minimizing risks associated with sanctions to ensure the resilience and predictability of cooperation.

Additionally, David O'Sullivan is scheduled to visit Kyrgyzstan on February 26, during which discussions on the raised issues will continue.

It is worth noting that Western media recently reported that the European Union is considering the possibility of imposing new sanctions against Kyrgyzstan due to its support for Russia in circumventing existing restrictions. This was reported by Bloomberg.
