At the ministerial round table held within the framework of the World Government, Bakyt Torobaev, who holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, delivered an important speech.

In his address, he noted that modern society faces numerous serious challenges, including climate, food, and social issues. In his opinion, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires the implementation of a comprehensive and long-term approach to risk management.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of water resource scarcity in the context of climate change.

Torobaev emphasized that as a mountainous country that forms the sources of rivers in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan bears the responsibility for preserving the water ecosystems of the region and actively raises issues of water security at international forums.
