“If you work your whole life, it's unlikely you'll be able to afford housing”
In Bishkek, the cost of apartments has reached the price level of Moscow, as reported by deputy Medер Aliyev during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh.
He noted that while the rise in real estate prices is a global trend, this process is developing particularly quickly in Bishkek, outpacing cities like Istanbul and Madrid.
“Previously, one could go to Russia for work, spend six months there, and buy an apartment. But now, even working their entire lives, migrants are unlikely to save enough for housing,” the deputy expressed his dissatisfaction.
In response, the first deputy chairman of the cabinet of ministers, Daniyar Amangeldiev, suggested that those who wish to purchase their own housing should contact the State Investment Corporation, where various options are available, including financing based on Islamic principles.
