On February 11 in Berlin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubaev, met with the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Johann Wadephul. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported this.
During the negotiations, issues of cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, trade, and humanitarian initiatives were discussed.
Speaking about inter-parliamentary relations, Kulubaev noted the results of the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, emphasizing that they met national and international standards.
In addition, he proposed to enhance cooperation with German companies in areas such as hydropower, agriculture, transport and logistics, as well as the development of tourism infrastructure.
"The parties also expressed interest in deepening cooperation in key areas such as the 'green' economy, e-commerce, new technologies, mobility, and education," the statement clarified.
Regarding sanctions, Kulubaev called for a more balanced approach from European countries. "He noted that there are no clear grounds for imposing restrictive measures and emphasized the possible negative consequences for the stable socio-economic development of Central Asia," the press service added. "The Kyrgyz Republic strictly fulfills its international obligations and is open to equal and mutually beneficial dialogue with European institutions."
The ministers also discussed international and regional issues, the interaction of both countries within international organizations and regional associations such as the UN, OSCE, and EU, as stated in the message.
