Model Law "On Creative Industries" of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS is submitted for consideration to the member states.

- A meeting took place in Moscow, attended by the Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Inna Svyatenko, the Secretary General of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, Dmitry Kobitsky, and the General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Svetlana Chupsheva.

The main topic of discussion was the development of the creative economy within the Commonwealth. Key areas highlighted included: cinema, design, light industry, folk arts and crafts, education, tourism, and related sectors.

In the autumn of 2025, the Assembly approved a model law "On Creative Industries," aimed at stimulating the growth of creative sectors, protecting the rights of creative workers, and attracting investments in cultural initiatives.

This draft law is being sent to the parliaments of the Commonwealth countries for its implementation into national legislation.
