"In some ways, voters and candidates are right - they have little influence."
Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation in constituency No. 13. He reported this through his social media.
According to Bekeshev, the legal manipulations occurring in the constituency could negatively affect voter turnout in the upcoming elections.
He noted that both voters and candidates often find themselves powerless: "Election results can be canceled, repeat elections can be announced, and the results of previous elections can be reinstated," he added.
The deputy also emphasized the need to hold accountable those who allowed such violations.
In his opinion, "we need to find a 'scapegoat', otherwise all accusations will fall on the shoulders of the voters who believe in elections and participate in them. Candidates also spent time and resources."
In this regard, Bekeshev stated that he intends to exclude provisions from the election bill aimed at encouraging voter participation, as they will not bring any benefit.
It should be noted that the Central Election Commission (CEC) reviewed its previous decision to annul the election results in constituency No. 13 and canceled it, allowing Aibek Altynbekov, Talant Mamytov, and Aigul Karabekova to take their parliamentary seats, as they received the highest number of votes. The repeat elections were also canceled.
Recall that in November 2025, the CEC did not recognize the election results in the constituency due to a scandal related to the installation of video cameras at polling stations by observers of one of the candidates, Bakyt Sydykov.
