The discussion is taking place against the backdrop of allegations of domestic violence
On February 17, the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic intends to consider the issue of depriving the mandate of the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Eldar Sulaymanov.
The events surrounding the deputy began to be actively discussed in January after statements from his ex-wife, Asel Azamatova, who claimed that she had been subjected to domestic violence by her ex-husband. The Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek reported that an investigation into this situation has begun.
Sulaymanov himself commented on the allegations, calling them one-sided and requiring legal assessment in the established manner. At the same time, recordings from surveillance cameras appeared on social media, showing moments when his ex-wife allegedly commits violence against him.
It should be noted that in the VIII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh, Eldar Sulaymanov was elected from the Ak-Suu multi-mandate constituency No. 5, located in the Jalal-Abad region.
