South Korean intelligence specialists have concluded that Kim Jong Un has completed the selection of his heir. According to information provided by the National Intelligence Service (NIS) to parliament, the leader of North Korea has begun official actions to transfer power to his daughter, Kim Ju Ae.
Previously, Kim Ju Ae was only preparing for her future role in governing the country, but now she has become the official successor. This is confirmed by her frequent participation in state events, where she has begun to openly express her opinions on significant political issues. Analysts are now focused on the upcoming congress of the Workers' Party of Korea at the end of February: Ju Ae's presence at this important event could finally solidify her new political role.
Kim Ju Ae is the only officially recognized child of the North Korean leader. Although there are speculations about Kim Jong Un having an older son, no official information about him has been released. The public first learned of Ju Ae's existence in 2013 when American basketball player Dennis Rodman, who visited Pyongyang, mentioned meeting "little Ju Ae."
