The special service emphasized the importance of complying with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported the existence of information leaks that create the impression of a conflict between various law enforcement agencies. This information was announced by the GKNB press service.
As stated in the message, in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Military Prosecutor's Office, together with the Main Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducted a series of investigative and operational activities regarding some former employees of the GKNB suspected of exceeding their official powers during the performance of their duties.
All actions were carried out in strict accordance with the legislation of the country and in compliance with procedural norms. The leadership of the GKNB was timely informed about what was happening, the agency noted.
According to the GKNB press service, personnel changes were made within the framework of the current legislation.
"As a result of the inspection, serious personnel decisions were made. Individuals who violated the legislation were dismissed from their positions and excluded from the national security agencies. All materials on the identified facts have been sent for final legal assessment in accordance with the law," the GKNB added.
The authorities continue to work on strengthening legality and discipline, excluding any instances of corruption and unlawful actions among their employees. Every worker, regardless of their position, bears personal responsibility before the law.
The GKNB emphasized that efforts to increase transparency and strengthen public trust in government agencies will continue.
The committee also stated that there are targeted information leaks that represent a distorted interpretation of the interaction between law enforcement agencies.
"We assert that such statements do not correspond to reality and are aimed at undermining trust in state institutions. All law enforcement agencies in the country operate within the framework of the law and work closely together, pursuing common goals of ensuring national security and law and order," the GKNB noted.
Attempts to create an image of conflict between agencies are destructive and aim to destabilize the socio-political situation.
Citizens, media, and public figures are urged to rely only on official sources and remain calm.
The GKNB will continue its consistent work to protect the interests of the state and society, ensuring legality and security in the country.
"We emphasize that there are no untouchables in the system of government agencies (GKNB, Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Prosecutor's Office, Military Prosecutor's Office, judicial system, GNS, GPS, and others). Every civil servant, regardless of their status or past merits, is responsible for their actions," the special service concluded.
