Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: Kazakhstan is ready to provide humanitarian aid to ensure food security in Gaza

The country also intends to provide over 500 educational grants for Palestinian students

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed the country's readiness to provide humanitarian aid aimed at ensuring food security both in Gaza and beyond during the inaugural meeting of the Council of Peace in Washington.

He emphasized that the Council of Peace must meet modern challenges and strengthen multilateral efforts. Tokayev also expressed Kazakhstan's desire to participate in efforts to stabilize and restore the region.

The head of state noted that Kazakhstan is interested in cooperating with reputable international companies that have a high level of qualification to participate in recovery processes. The program may include the construction of essential infrastructure such as housing, schools, hospitals, and other social facilities.

"As one of the leading wheat producers in the world, Kazakhstan is ready to provide humanitarian aid to ensure food security in Gaza and beyond. We also plan to allocate over 500 educational grants for Palestinian students who will be able to study at our universities over the next five years," the President stated.

In addition, Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan is ready to share its experience in e-government and other digital initiatives that have received international recognition.

He also emphasized Kazakhstan's readiness to support International Stabilization Forces by sending medical units with a field hospital and observers to the Civil-Military Coordination Center.
