In the CIS, mutual recognition of accreditation of conformity assessment bodies is being discussed.
Representatives from the following countries participated in this event:
The Republic of Belarus,
The Kyrgyz Republic,
The Russian Federation,
The Republic of Uzbekistan,
The Republic of Tajikistan,
The Executive Committee of the CIS and the Bureau of Standards.
The main topic of discussion was the draft document titled "Regulations on the Conduct of Parity Assessments of Accreditation Bodies of the States Parties to the Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies."
The participants expressed the opinion that the new document should have a framework character and establish the basic principles for conducting parity assessments.
Work on the document will continue in an agreed manner.
A mutual recognition system for certificates issued by conformity assessment bodies is already functioning within the EAEU. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) maintains a Unified Register for this purpose.
As of early 2026, 92 organizations from Kyrgyzstan with various activity statuses are registered in this register.
