Kasymaiev: The volume of agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan reached 459.7 billion soms
According to him, by 2025, the volume of agricultural production in Kyrgyzstan will reach 459.7 billion soms, which is 62.9 billion soms more than the indicators for 2024. The growth rate was 102.2%.
The output of the processing industry reached 104.7 billion soms, increasing by 16.2 billion soms compared to last year, with a growth rate of 130.1%.
Kasymaliev noted that the export of agricultural products also shows positive dynamics: more than 60 types of products are shipped to over 80 countries. At the same time, the population of the country is provided with six out of nine main types of socially significant food products.
The head of the Cabinet emphasized that these successes have been made possible by the selfless work of all participants in the process. "The government and business are becoming increasingly coordinated in their efforts, leading to noticeable progress in addressing issues such as fuel and financing," he added.
Kasymaliev reminded that within the framework of the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2030, an increase in agricultural production volumes by 30% is planned in the agricultural sector, a twofold increase in processing, a 15% reduction in water losses, as well as the expansion of irrigated areas by 15,000 hectares and improved water availability for 93,000 hectares.
In 2026, it is planned to allocate 12.3 billion soms for the development of the irrigation sector. The total funding for agriculture is expected to reach 41.1 billion soms, which is significantly more compared to 31.5 billion soms in 2025.
He also noted the need to strengthen the material base in seed production, breeding livestock, and nurseries, as well as the effective use of preferential loans.
Kasymaliev stated that by 2030, the level of agricultural product processing should increase to 25%, and by 2040 — to 50%. Currently, this figure is only about 7%.
To achieve these goals, it is necessary to build 385 processing enterprises by 2030, of which 75 are planned to be opened in 2026, as well as to develop agro-clusters and value-added chains.
As an example of successful practices, he cited the Netherlands, where tulip exports bring in over 1 billion euros, and Turkey, which annually exports dried apricots worth about $400 million. Kasymaliev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan has already begun to bring dried apricots to the international market and that it is necessary to promote domestic products more actively.
In addition, the head of the Cabinet highlighted the importance of science and education in agricultural development, expressing hope for the active participation of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University and scientists.
As part of the forum, a ceremony was held to award employees of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
