Foreign beggars are to be expelled from Kyrgyzstan

The detention of beggars who are citizens of Kyrgyzstan will become a practice

During a meeting of the parliamentary committee on law enforcement, crime prevention, and anti-corruption, the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts (Code of Offenses and the Law on External Migration)" was reviewed and adopted in the first reading.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated this document, which contains several amendments aimed at reducing the level of begging in the country.

According to the proposed changes, foreign citizens engaged in begging or attracting others to this activity are planned to be expelled from the republic.

As for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, they will be detained for similar activities (begging and involvement in it).
