With the arrival of warm weather, the season for active use of electric scooters, bicycles, and short-term rentals has officially begun in Bishkek. In this regard, the city hall, under the leadership of Ilyas Kolopov, held an urgent meeting with representatives of kicksharing companies operating in the capital.
The agenda included the necessity to bring the operation of services into full compliance with current legislation and traffic rules. Municipal authorities expressed their demand for operators to immediately restore order in the use of individual means of transportation on the streets of the city.
The city authorities suggested that companies significantly increase control over users. One of the key decisions will be the introduction of strict sanctions for those who do not comply with traffic rules: users who violate traffic regulations may face temporary or even lifetime bans on their accounts in mobile applications.
The city hall appeals to residents and guests of the capital to demonstrate maximum responsibility and strictly adhere to safety measures. Creating a culture of mutual respect on the roads and sidewalks of Bishkek remains a top priority for the city authorities.
