The Iranian armed forces have announced the start of a new wave of attacks on Israel and American military bases in the region.
According to reports from Iranian military sources, new missile and drone strikes have begun against Israeli and American targets. A series of explosions have also been reported in Tehran by Anadolu Agency.
In a sixth official statement published by Mehr Agency, the Iranian Armed Forces confirmed that as part of Operation "Truthful Promise 4," the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps carried out large-scale attacks on Israeli targets and American bases.
Among the 27 targets attacked are the Tel Nof airbase, the Israeli army headquarters in Tel Aviv, and a major defense complex.
The announcement notes that the Iranian Armed Forces do not intend to allow the sirens in Israel and at American bases to fall silent, and they plan "consistent, deterrent, and harsh retaliatory measures."
After the attacks, air defense systems were activated in Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, and Israel, accompanied by reports of explosion sounds.
Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that following the death of Iran's leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, they would take retaliatory actions against Israel and American bases in the shortest possible time.
The Israeli army confirmed that air defense systems are active and working to intercept missiles.
The rear command sent messages to citizens urging them to remain in shelters until further notice.
Israeli media also reported the activation of sirens in the central part of the country.
It is worth noting that on February 28, the USA and Israel began large-scale attacks on Iranian military facilities, resulting in at least 200 deaths and over 700 injuries, including Iranian President Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking officials.
