If confirmed, the deputy may lose his mandate
The Central Election Commission, responsible for elections and referendums, is conducting a check for a criminal record of Bekmurza Ergeshov, a member of the Jogorku Kenesh. This was reported by representatives of the commission.
According to available information, a request was sent to the information center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs a few days ago, and a response is expected within 14 days.
If it is established that the deputy has a criminal record, the issue of his mandate will be brought up for discussion.
Bekmurza Ergeshov was elected as a deputy from electoral district No. 6 (city of Osh) in November 2025. Previously, another candidate representing this district claimed that in 1998, Ergeshov was sentenced to five years in prison. The deputy has not yet made any comments on this matter.
