Although Kazakhstan joined the Council of Peace without a contribution, the country is ready to assist Gaza

The assistance includes logistics, food, and field hospitals with medical specialists.

Kazakhstan became a member of the Council of Peace without making mandatory financial contributions. This was stated by Erlan Zhetybaev, the official representative of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Zhetybaev, this accession serves Kazakhstan's interests and aligns with its foreign policy course, which emphasizes dialogue, international security, and multilateral cooperation.

He also emphasized that the President of the country identified this initiative as relevant, aimed at achieving specific and operational results. "Peace should be built not on meaningless declarations, but on practical steps," he added.

Zhetybaev noted that upon joining, Kazakhstan did not make any financial contributions. "Joining the Council of Peace does not require a mandatory contribution of one billion dollars, as stated in the charter. This is the right of each participant," he explained.

In response to rumors about a possible deployment of military contingents to Gaza, Zhetybaev urged to refer to official sources of information. According to him, it is only about humanitarian assistance.

Kazakhstan is ready to support international stabilization forces by sending medical units with field hospitals and observers for civil-military coordination, the Foreign Ministry representative stated.

In addition, the country intends to provide humanitarian assistance in the form of food, allocate 500 educational grants for Palestinian students at Kazakh universities for a period of five years, and share experience in e-government.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin added that the main part of the assistance for Gaza will be provided in this way. "We are ready to help either with food or to organize the appropriate logistics," he noted.

It should be recalled that in February, at the first meeting of the Council of Peace, Trump thanked the participants for their efforts in ensuring sustainable stability and recovery in Gaza.

Trump also described Kazakhstan as a wonderful and rich country while introducing the leaders of the participating states of the Council of Peace.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, signed the charter of the Council of Peace, created at Trump's initiative, in January of this year.

Earlier, Tokayev received an invitation from Trump to join the new Council of Peace for Gaza, and Kazakhstan was offered to become one of its founders.

As envisioned by Washington, the Council of Peace will be responsible for strategic oversight, mobilization of international resources, and monitoring compliance with commitments related to the peaceful development of Gaza.

According to Trump, the member countries of the Council of Peace have already raised 7 billion dollars.
