Policy for the Protection of Women's Rights

Baisalov also emphasized that state policy is aimed at strengthening the rule of law, providing economic opportunities for women, and combating violence against them.

He added that Kyrgyzstan adheres to the principle of zero tolerance for violence and continues to improve its legislation and protection mechanisms.

Protection of Women in Conflict Situations

In his speech, he highlighted the importance of adhering to international law and the principles of the UN Charter, as well as the need to protect civilians, especially women and children, in modern conflicts.

The world cannot seriously talk about women's rights while ignoring the suffering of women in conflict zones. The protection of women must become an important aspect of international security.

Initiative for a Woman as UN Secretary-General

The head of the Kyrgyz delegation also noted that the United Nations itself should be a role model in matters of equality.

"After nearly eight decades of the UN's existence, it is time for a woman to be appointed as Secretary-General, and this has long been overdue," he added.

Composition of the Kyrgyz Delegation at the Session

At the 70th session of the commission, Kyrgyzstan is represented by a delegation that includes representatives from the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor General's Office, several ministries, and the Ombudsman Institute.

The delegation participates in plenary sessions, thematic discussions, and numerous side events. National events and presentations dedicated to women's rights, strengthening justice, and empowering women and girls are also planned.
