Kongantiev was elected to parliament from electoral district No. 21 and held the position of chairman of the committee on industrial policy, transport, the fuel and energy complex, architecture, and construction.
His place may be taken by Chingiz Aydarbekov, who received 15.71% of the votes in the elections.
