In Kyrgyzstan, preparations are actively underway for the agricultural census.
Erlist Akunbekov, who holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, has made an urgent appeal to citizens not to conceal information about their livestock during the upcoming census. This statement was made at a coordination meeting dedicated to the preparation for the census.
Akunbekov noted that some people may not fully understand the objectives of the census and, as a result, may hide the number of their livestock and poultry. This may stem from erroneous assumptions that such actions could lead to denial of social benefits or increased taxes.
The Minister emphasized that accurate data on livestock numbers is crucial for ensuring effective vaccination of animals, proper planning of veterinary measures, and guaranteeing the availability of sufficient vaccines.
The agricultural census in the country will take place from March 20 to April 10. Local self-government bodies and territorial statistical units will participate in its implementation.
During the census, not only sown areas and pastures will be accounted for, but also farm buildings, yards, as well as livestock and poultry numbers.
