During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva urged Aibek Mamyraliev, head of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, not to distort information about fuel prices.

She noted that, despite the promises of the State Antimonopoly Service regarding price stability for food products, there is actually a constant increase in prices, including for meat.

Surabaldiyeva also cited data from the Association of Oil Traders, which indicates that gasoline prices are expected to rise by 3 soms, and asked how accurate this is.

In turn, Mamyraliev assured that there are no plans to change prices for AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel in the next two months.

He added that "all conditions for stability are met, and fuel reserves are sufficient." According to him, prices have actually decreased compared to the beginning of the year.

In response, Surabaldiyeva advised him to pay attention to current news.

She reported that a price increase for fuel is expected in Kyrgyzstan, which could amount to about 3 soms per liter in March. The reasons for this increase are global trends, rising wholesale prices in Russia, and the exhaustion of quotas for duty-free imports.

The deputy expressed her bewilderment: "There are 90 deputies here. Why speak untruths? It is better to verify information before responding. The media reports what is happening on the streets. You should be aware of public opinion, not just reassure us."

The head of the State Antimonopoly Service replied that he provides information based on official data.

He added: "The State Antimonopoly Service is unable to control prices. As soon as the president and the GKNB stabilize the economic situation, prices will start to decrease. You should convey this to the president. Let's stop lying to each other and reassuring."
