- The Ministry of Economy and Commerce discussed the new KR Law "On Competition," which was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh in the first reading.

According to the antimonopoly regulation service, the current Law "On Competition" needs updating. The new version presented definitions of concepts such as buyer's compensating power, antimonopoly compliance, digital platforms, and network effects.

Another important aspect is the principle of equal subsidies. The head of the investigation department, Pavel Li, noted that any state support for individual economic entities could lead to violations of the competitive environment.

One of the key innovations of the project is the requirement for prior notification of the antimonopoly authority in the case of introducing preferences for economic entities. In the future, the service will maintain a separate public register of organizations that are granted benefits.
