Degradation or purification of elections and parliament — what is happening?
An image has appeared on social media showing a list of deputies who are allegedly at risk of being excluded from the parliament of Kyrgyzstan. The main factor contributing to this development is said to be connections with the former head of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev.
Some of the mentioned deputies have already left their positions voluntarily: among them are Nurlanbek Azigaliev, Shaiyrbek Tashiev, Kurmankul Zulushiev, Kuanychbek Kongantiev (currently in pre-trial detention), Kunduzbek Sulaymanov, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, Eldar Sulaymanov, and Gulsunkhan Junushalieva.
Additionally, Janarbek Akayev has been appointed mayor of the city of Osh by presidential decree.
